The Government, which took up office last year, has closed the period of mass privatisation and has committed to manage the national property in a responsible way to increase it. In accordance with long-term strategic objectives and economy boosting concepts, it wishes to strengthen government participation in vehicle manufacturing.

Minister for National Development Tamás Fellegi opened the seventh international conference on Competitiveness Operational Programmes organised by the National Development Agency, the Hungarian Economic Development Centre and the European Commission on 27 October 2011 in Budapest. Minister for National Development Tamás Fellegi is on an official visit to Washington between 23 and 27 September 2011. The International Atomic Energy Agency elected Hungary one of its 35 members of the Governing Board, its decision-making body on 22 September, 2011 in Vienna.
