The handover of the new production facility took place on 2 July 2013. Five previously closed waste deposit in four settlements in the Karcag sub-region have been successfully recultivated at a cost of HUF 1.3bn, announced László Dobos MP (Fidesz-KDNP), Mayor of Karcag, at the event held in the city to mark the closing of the project.

Another road reconstruction project was completed with the support of the New Széchenyi Plan. A nearly 10-kilometre section of the road connecting Röszke and Mórahalom in Csongrád County was reconstructed from over HUF 1 billion European Union funds. The inauguration ceremony of the project was held in Mórahalom on 20 June 2013.
Railway professionals and ambulance, police and fire service representatives also participated in the rescue exercise organised by GYSEV Zrt. in Sopron on 19 June 2013. During the simulation a yard locomotive collided with two motor vehicles. As Mr Zoltán Schváb, Deputy State Secretary for Transport under the Ministry of National Development emphasized at the venue, similar exercises are extremely important in order to ensure effective, fast and synchronised rescue operation and restoration in real accident situations.
As a result of a project managed by the Governmental Information-Technology Development Agency (GITDA) online bankcard payment (VPOS) has been an option in increasing number of procedures in public administration since the end of March. The system implemented with the support of the New Széchenyi Plan justified the preliminary expectations already in the first period.
The handover of the Ófehértó Motorway Engineering and new motorway police site at kilometre section 254 of the M3 motorway between Nyíregyháza and highway No. 49 took place on 18 June 2013. The National Development Agency (NDA) organised the open day of European Union development projects for the second time on 15 June 2013, at which over 60 development projects implemented within the framework of the New Széchenyi Plan were presented to the public nationally, said Nándor Csepreghy, Deputy State Secretary for Development Projects of the Ministry for National Development (MND).
The Ministry of National Development together with the Hungarian Office for Mining and Geology and the Geological and Geophysical Institute of Hungary held an investment forum on the 14th of June 2013, in the Karolyi Csekonics Residency in Budapest. Potential investors, trade union representatives and other interested parties had been informed about the Hungarian legal framework of the proposed mining concessions as well as about the EU member states’ working solutions and characterized basic conditions.
