Some 170 ambassadors and diplomats accredited in Hungary participated in the traditional grape harvest in the northeast Hungarian village of Demjén on Thursday. Four New Products Added to Hungaricum List

Tuesday's meeting of the Hungaricum Committee in Székesfehérvár saw the addition of four new products to the list of Hungaricums: the Csaba sausage, goose liver products, Tokaji Aszú wine and Béres Drops dietary supplement preparation. The Committee also came to a decision on the winning design for the Hungaricum trademark.
OMÉK Fair presents the cream of Hungarian agriculture and food processing

"The goods showcases at the five-day 76th National Agricultural and Food Industry Exhibition and Fair (OMÉK) clearly show that both the qualitative and quantitative range of Hungarian foods and agricultural products has developed significantly during the past two years", Minister for Rural Development Sándor Fazekas declared on Sunday at the event in Kőbánya, eastern Budapest.
National Water Strategy ready for submission

The Water Strategy has been completed and may soon be submitted to the Government, the Ministry of Rural Development's Deputy State Secretary for Water announced at the OMÉK agriculture fair. The social debate on the Strategy, during the course of which over 1300 comments and suggestions were submitted, closed in July. The Ministry has processed the recommendations and incorporated a significant number of them into the Strategy.

Time-Stamped Stickers to be Introduced to Combat Illegal Contracts

In future, all contracts officially prepared by lawyers would include a time-stamped sticker, making undated contracts concluded earlier, including illegal, so-called "pocket contracts" useless, Chairman of the Hungarian Bar Association János Bánáti said on Friday in Budapest at the meeting of the inter-ministerial committee set up to examine the issue of illegal contracts, explaining the organisation's proposal. The Ministry of Rural Development's Parliamentary State Secretary, Gyula Budai, spoke to kormany.hu about the issue.
