The Government has raised the coverage for the completion of the Panel II Programme launched in 2009, whereby the refurbishment of almost 8 thousand dwellings may start in various places of the country, Minister of National Development Zsuzsa Németh announced in Győr on 16 November, 2013.
The primary goal of the annual conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and to the Kyoto Protocol held in Warsaw from 11 to 22 November 2013 was to discuss the policy concepts related to the new global climate agreement.

Minister of State for Energy Affairs Pál Kovács is to be involved with new responsibilities affecting EU energy markets in his position of alternate member of the Administrative Board of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). Based on a decision of the Council of the European Union, the four-year mandate of the Minister of State is to begin as from 28 January, 2014.

Calls for tender in fields of mining were issued by the Minister of National Development in four fields of hydrocarbon research (Southeast and West of the Szeged Basin and North and South of Battonya-Pusztaföldvár) and three fields of geothermal energy research (Ferencszállás, Kecskemét and Jászberény) in August 2013.
