Dr Sándor Pintér, Interior Minister of Hungary conducted negotiations with Päivi Räsänen, Interior Minister of Finland and Krista Kiuru, Minister of Housing and Communications in Helsinki.
The next ministerial conference of the Salzburg Forum organized by the Czech Presidency took place in Chateau Štiřín near Prague on 24-25 May, 2012. Mr. Sándor Pintér, Minister of Interior was the head of the Hungarian delegation.
Mr László Felkai, State Secretary of Ministry of Interior and Mr Gottfried Köfner, UNHCR’s Regional Representative for Central Europe opened a joint exhibition about the world’s stateless people entitled “Nowhere People – Hazátlanul” which will be held on 16-31 May 2012 in the Palace of Arts (MÜPA).
Mr. Lóránt Balla, Ambassador of Hungary to Kosovo and Mr. Bajram Rexhepi, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo signed an Agreement between the Government of Hungary and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

The second formal meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council under the Danish Presidency is being held on 26-27 April 2012 in Luxembourg. On the first day of the Council meeting issues of internal affairs were on the agenda. The Head of the Delegation of the Ministry of Interior was Mr Károly Kontrát Parliamentary State Secretary.
Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the French Republic awarded Mr. Péter Szaló, Deputy State Secretary to the rank of Officer in the National Order of Merit. Deputy State Secretary for Area Management and Construction received the award from Ambassador Roland Galharague during a ceremony at the French Residence in Buda on 25th of April.
As in the past Hungary is ready to support the security and stabilization process in Central Asia in the future too – emphasized Mr László Felkai State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior at the ministerial conference of the Central Asia Border Security Initiative (CABSI) held in Vienna.
Hungary protects its borders, ensures an adequate level of protection for its citizens and at the same time fulfils the EU requirements and protects the EU’s external borders – underlined Mr Károly Kontrát Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior at the border of Röszke where thermal imaging camera system and border surveillance system have been established.
