Complex Cycling Programme in preparation

The year 2014 is all about laying a basis for large-scale cycling developments to be implemented in the years to come, Minister of State for Infrastructure Pál Völner said at a professional event presenting the Cycling Development Programme entitled ‘Cycling is an Experience!’ (Bringázni Élmény!) held in Budapest on 23 January, 2014. Under the guidance of the Transport Development Coordination Centre, feasibility and policy-making studies are to be made and the Cyclist Registration System is to be updated.

Transport Development in the Service of Job Creation New Roundabout Built at Kecskemét Mercedes Factory in 53 Days

Project owner Magyar Közút Nonprofit Ltd. built a new roundabout intersection on Main Road No. 5 using only national budget funds. The project was completed less than two months after the building area was taken over. The roundabout will eliminate congestions on the main road section which leads to the pedestrian entrance of the Mercedes-Benz Factory.
