New IC+ carriages scheduled to set off to Switzerland for final testing

The IC+ carriages of MÁV-START Ltd. completed by the end of last summer are scheduled to set off to Switzerland in March for their final test consisting of the outdoor noise testing of the passing carriages. So far the carriages have successfully completed various measurements, run and brake tests, as well as noise tests performed indoors and at a standstill. Before the final test today the representatives of the press had the opportunity to participate in a test run.

Government support of HUF 1.3 billion for road development in Ferihegyi út

Investment of HUF 1.5 billion in Szarvas

The wastewater treatment plant in Szarvas, financed from public and EU funds, started its test run on 27 February, 2014. The investment was inaugurated by Minister of National Development Zsuzsa Németh, who also delivered an address at a conference held on the major EU investments in the town of Szarvas after the inauguration ceremony.

A professional conference entitled Electricity Supply in Hungary in the 21st Century was held at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 18 February, 2014, in the framework of which invited speakers elaborated on their views on the issue. In his lecture, Minister of State for Energy Affairs Pál Kovács recalled a statement made by EU Energy Commissioner Günther Oettinger last May according to which the European Commission acknowledged and respected the decisions of national governments on energy mixes applied in order to reduce carbon-dioxide emissions.

By the agreement signed at the Intersputnik Workshop organised by the Ministry of National Development and the National Media and Infocommunications Authority, Hungary became an active member of the operational decision-making body of the organisation.
