In his pre-agenda speech in Parliament, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán declared that the biggest flood Hungary had ever experienced has left the country without causing any casualties or major damage, adding that through recent protection efforts along the flooding river Danube, the country has proved that it stands united and strong when people are needed on the dykes.
A summit meeting took place in Warsaw between the Prime Ministers of the Visegrad Group (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) and the Prime Minister of Japan.

Production has started in the new, EUR 900 million Audi plant in Győr, Northwest Hungary. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who stressed the role of the German car manufacturer in boosting Hungary’s importance as a regional automotive industry centre. The company’s CEO called the Győr plant one of the pillars of Audi’s growth.
