Prime Minister Viktor Orbán addressed a ceremony on Tuesday, in which the city of Budapest took delivery of new Mercedes Citaro buses, stating that "without a strong and successful capital there isn't a strong and successful Hungary".
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán declared at the ceremony marking the completion of the first stage of renovation work on the Romanesque church in Ják, that Europe and Hungary may also be renewed if they manage to focus on the traditions of praying and working, and announced that the Government is providing further financial assistance to renovate the building.
The Hungarian Government is awaiting the results of a probe by the European Commission into the fourth amendment to the Hungarian Fundamental Law, and is ready to discuss possible issues, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced at a press conference in Bilbao on Monday evening.
Speaking at a forum organized by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prime Minister Orbán said he expects economic growth to resume already this year and he considers lower interest rates a key issue. He also announced that the Government would make it possible for SMEs to convert their forex loans into forint loans.
It is the Government’s high priority to assist families in home-buying and retaining the homes already in their possession. Due to the measures of the Government, hundreds of thousands of families have been saved from the loss of their homes by the introduction of early repayment schemes and exchange rate limits.
