Nearly 10 kilometres of road was reconstructed between Röszke and Mórahalom

Another road reconstruction project was completed with the support of the New Széchenyi Plan. A nearly 10-kilometre section of the road connecting Röszke and Mórahalom in Csongrád County was reconstructed from over HUF 1 billion European Union funds. The inauguration ceremony of the project was held in Mórahalom on 20 June 2013.

Women’s prospects improved significantly on the Hungarian labour market

Even from a European perspective, the Government has achieved outstanding results in the field of employment in general and the job prospects of women in particular. This year, the positive effects of the Job Protection Plan promote further improvement with regard to women’s employment. According to the latest data of the programme, which has been in place since January, in April job subsidies were applied for 27 thousand employees returning to work after their childcare allowance and maternity benefit period had ended. In addition, the Cabinet is planning to arrange new policies in order to improve the day-care facility network for small children and enhance the prospects of women seeking or returning to a job.

Accident investigation and rescue exercise organised by the GYSEV railway company

Railway professionals and ambulance, police and fire service representatives also participated in the rescue exercise organised by GYSEV Zrt. in Sopron on 19 June 2013. During the simulation a yard locomotive collided with two motor vehicles. As Mr Zoltán Schváb, Deputy State Secretary for Transport under the Ministry of National Development emphasized at the venue, similar exercises are extremely important in order to ensure effective, fast and synchronised rescue operation and restoration in real accident situations.

Increasing online bankcard payments in public administration procedures

The system implemented with the support of the New Széchenyi Plan justified the preliminary expectations already in the first period.
