Deputy Prime Minister Tibor Navracsics claimed that "as a tourist region, Lake Balaton is viable only with Bakony and the Balaton Uplands, which together is capable to offer a wide variety of programmes throughout the whole year" at the two-day European Destination Marketing Conference this Thursday, organized in Balatonfüred.

Every person in Hungary as well as in the whole world should be aware of the crimes that were committed by communism, said Deputy Prime Minister Tibor Navracsics in the monthly journal of public service (called 'Közszolgálat') released this Thursday; regarding the goals of Commission on National Remembrance, the body which explores former mechanisms of power during communist dictatorship.

Erzsébet Programme, Hungary’s most prominent social programme of the past two decades, gave the opportunity for more than 250,000 people to go on vacations last year, 100,000 among them were children. As the spokesperson of the programme, Anna Nagy said in a press conference this Wednesday in Budapest, 62 new calls for proposals are announced for children, large families, and the elderly and disabled people this year.

Thanks to the outstanding expertise and experience of Hungarian specialists in organising cyber security exercises, Hungary is to host the first joint cyber defence exercise of the Central European Cyber Security Platform. Hungary will also serve as chief planner of the event to be held in May 2014 in Budapest, with the exercise being designed and executed under the coordination of Hungarian experts.
