Safer motorway connections in Budapest agglomeration

The ramps to and from M7 motorway at the junction of Iparos út in Érd are to be reconstructed by the end of next year and two new ramps are to be built at the junction of M0/M7 motorways at Törökbálint, to be connected to road 8103 by a roundabout, Minister of State for Infrastructure Pál Völner announced in Érd on 24 March, 2014.
ACER Administrative Board held first annual session

The Administrative Board of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) held its first session this year on 19 March, 2014. The session was attended by Minister of State for Energy Affairs of the Ministry of National Development Pál Kovács, newly appointed alternate member of the board.
First two new FLIRT multiple units received

One of the two FLIRT units that have recently arrived in Hungary has been presented to the public for the first time by representatives of the Ministry of National Development, MÁV-START Ltd. and Stadler Ltd. at the refurbished railway station of Kápolnásnyék today. Following strict technical and authority control and certification, the first new multiple unit is expected to be put into use in traffic this autumn. The forty-two new FLIRT trains to be received by autumn are to be used along the Budapest suburban railway lines. The new multiple units offer travel conditions meeting the requirements of our time; through their operation, the railway company is to save billions at the annual level.
Digital Community Programme to continue in Salgótarján

The programme that offers knowledge, skills and opportunity to enable participation in the digital world is to be extended to the county seat of Nógrád early this autumn, Minister of State for Infocommunication Vilmos Vályi-Nagy announced in Miskolc on 18 March 2014 on the occasion that the first successful applicants were presented with the appliances they had been awarded within the framework of the Digital Community Programme.
National Transport Strategy: Guidance for the strategic development of the transport system

The hundred-page summary of the National Transport Strategy (NTS), to be discussed by the Government in the near future, is based on analyses and preliminary studies of over 5 thousand pages, Minister of National Development Zsuzsa Németh said at the 15th Conference on Transport Development and Investment of the Association for Transport Sciences in Bükfürdő on 18 March, 2014.
