The Government is to start creating conditions for an industrial overhead reduction and, in relation to this, will set up a non-profit public utility company. The necessary legislation is expected to be passed in Parliament by the end of this year, Minister of National Development Zsuzsa Németh announced at a press conference evaluating the results of the MVM Group in the past four years in Budapest on Tuesday.
Based on the order made by the Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) VOLÁNBUSZ Ltd. is taking over the operation of bus services in community transport in certain lines in the agglomeration, which have an important role in the Budapest traffic. BKK and VOLÁNBUSZ will provide higher quality services to the population of the capital and the 11 agglomeration settlements with MAN and RABA-VOLVO Accessible Low Floor (ALF) buses also equipped with AC systems.
The Government has raised the total allocation for the programme supporting the comprehensive reconstruction of certain sections of 4-5 digit roads to HUF 109 billion. On March 26, 2014 NISZ Nemzeti Infokommunikációs Szolgáltató Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (NISZ), a wholly owned subsidiary of Magyar Nemzeti Vagyonkezelő Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (MNV), signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of 100% of the shares of “Antenna Hungária” Magyar Műsorszóró és Rádióhírközlési Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (Antenna Hungária), a subsidiary of the French broadcast network service group TDF S.A. (TDF). As of May 30, 2014, the new owner of Antenna Hungária will be NISZ, a state-owned company providing governmental information and telecommunication operations and services.

As its primary function, the Centre is to provide uniform, real-time timetable and transport data with a nationwide coverage for organisations operating in community transport and for passengers.
