Repainted reality 2.0 – equal opportunities exhibition arrives in Vienna

The Hungarian Embassy in Vienna is the fourth venue to host the “Repainted reality 2.0” exhibition which opened in the Austrian capital on Thursday. The exhibition, originating from the National Gallery in Budapest, displays paintings by disabled and non-disabled painters alike.

Hungarian travelling exhibition of interwar art

Minister of State for Culture János Halász opened a travelling exhibition of interwar art in the town of Szentendre, east of Budapest on Thursday. The exhibition, entitled “An era between historic traumas – Art and patronage between 1920 and 1944”, has reached its third location since it was first shown last August in Székesfehérvár, central Hungary.

Hungary is the first European country to host an international wheelchair rugby tournament

Budapest will be the first European venue for a wheelchair rugby tournament from January 22-25. The “Maximus Project” tournament will also be the Hungarian team’s first major domestic challenge. The six-country tournament is co-sponsored by the Ministry for Human Affairs.

Hungarian skating budget allows for good European Championships

The annual budget of the Hungarian National Skating Federation (MOKSZ) has increased to 550 million forints this year (EUR 1.84 million) from 70 million forints in 2011, allowing the country to confidently host the 2014 European Figure Skating Championships, MOKSZ President Lajos Kósa said on Tuesday at the opening press conference of the event which begins on Wednesday.
