Hungarian team from Sopron wins Grand Prize at Moonbots 2012

The Grand Prize at the international Moonbots 2012 competition (Google Lunar X-Prize LEGO Mindstorms Challenge), which took place in December, was won by the Hungarian HungaroBots team comprising 16-17 year old students from the town of Sopron. Minister of State for Education Rózsa Hoffmann sent her congratulations to the talented youngsters in a letter.

Die Kränze der Erinnerung wurden in Schaumar niedergelegt, eine Siedlung die schwer von diesem dunklen Kapitel unserer gemeinsamen Geschichte betroffen war.

New York Bard Conservatory Orchestra to perform in Budapest's new music venue

The Ministry of Human Resources welcomes that the chamber orchestra of the acclaimed New York-based Bard College Conservatory of Music will give the next "tune-up" concert in the new Budapest Music Centre (BMC) on January 13. The orchestra composed of teachers, graduate and undergraduate students, regularly tours the world, and will perform in central Europe for the first time. Among its Hungarian members is cellist Robert Martin, who also serves as the Conservatory's director. The Budapest Music Centre, which will be one of the most significant centre for contemporary music in Hungary, opening officially in March 2013.
