Hungary welcomes that China, France, Germany, Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom reached an agreement with Iran on the implementation of the Joint Plan of Action (JPOA) in Geneva on January 10, 2014. Hungary also welcomes the report issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about Iran complying with the stipulations of the JPOA, and is pleased with the fact that Teheran has been fulfilling its commitments concerning the gradual restriction of its nuclear program.

The Serbian delegation at the opening session was headed by Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and all twenty-eight Member States were also represented. MFA Minister of State for EU Affairs Enikő Győri attended the first meeting of the Serbian accession talks on behalf of Hungary.
