"The achievements of Hungarian SMEs in industrial innovation are the foundations for the long term success of the Hungarian economy", State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó said on Monday in Csepreg, Vas County, at the inauguration of the new 5300m2 plant of Uniriv Limited, realised at a cost HUF 483 million, HUF 192 million of which were provided within the framework of the New Széchényi Plan (ÚSZT) economic stimulus policy.
The State Secretary emphasised: to facilitate the success of Hungarian SMEs on the international market, the Government is doubling the financial support provided research and development over the next 7-year EU Financial Framework, providing total funding of some HUF 700 billion (€ 2.3 billion).
Uniriv Ltd. is a 100% Hungarian-owned firm, which began as a small family business and which, through hard work and constant innovation, has become the only industrial fastener manufacturing in Central Europe. Today, the company’s products are sold in 25 countries all over the world including Mexico, Germany, China and Russia.
Péter Szijjártó added that Uniriv provides work for 110 people and is training 60 students in this field.
