The building plots for the 2015 World Exhibition in Milan have been distributed.

Government Commissioners from 23 countries including Hungary were welcomed by Italian Government commissioner Giuseppe Sala and President of the Province of Lombardy Robert Maroni at an official ceremony on 16 December in Milan, where they were issued with the plots for the construction of their national pavilions.

Hungary was the 93rd country to apply to participate at the exhibition and was 52nd to sign the participation contract, but Hungary was among the first 23 states to receive its exhibition site.

At the ceremony, Géza Szőcs, the Hungarian Government Commissioner for the exhibition, was asked to give a speech on the importance of water, which has been selected by the Italian organisers as one of the most important topics of the Exhibition.
