Ferenc Zumbok, Governmental Appointee for the renewal of Buda Castle and Eszterházy Castle, stated at a press conference that Eszterháza is to receive a further HUF 350 million towards cultural events and infrastructure due to the modification of budget law.

Accordingly, the classical music festival may have a budget of HUF 200 million this year in contrast to the previous HUF 15-20 million. The Governmental Appointee pointed out that the whole castle will now be dedicated to culture, following the resettlement of a school that has operated in the building until recently.

Over 50 Hungarian and international representatives of classical music, opera and jazz will perform at the Eszterháza festival series at Fertőd-Eszterháza between 31 May 2013 and 15 September.
