State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó held talks with Goran Knezevic, Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, about modernising the Budapest-Belgrade railway line and opening three new crossing points between Hungary and Serbia.
Both State Secretary Szijjártó and Minister Knezevic are co-presidents of the Hungarian-Serbian Economic Joint Committee that is currently holding a two-day meeting in Budapest.
The parties have agreed that cross-border development will be in the focus of cooperation between the two countries, while negotiations will commence regarding the possible role of the Hungarian water industry cluster in Serbia.
