State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó met board members of Indian company Tata for talks in Budapest on Tuesday.
The talks focused on cooperation between Hungary and India, as well as Tata’s plans to expand its operations in Hungary and other European countries. Tata Group, India’s largest private company, is active in steel and car production as well as in information technology.
Its Hungarian branch is a strategic partner of the Hungarian Government, and employs over 900 people. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is scheduled to pay an official visit to India on Oct. 16-18, State Secretary Szijjártó said during his talks.
