State secretary for foreign affairs and trade Peter Szijjártó met with Bank of China chairman Tian Guoli in Budapest on Friday.
The Chairman told Mr Szijjártó that the Bank of China's operations in Hungary have so far been fruitful and the bank has more plans and goals in the country.
Hungary wants to be China's gateway to Europe and places great importance on the Bank of China establishing its regional centre for Central and Eastern Europe in Hungary, Mr Szijjártó stated. Hungary and the Bank of China will showcase the country's business environment in a joint roadshow in China this June.
