State Secretary for External Economic Affairs and Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó received in his office the Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister responsible for economic affairs of the United Arab Emirates Khalid Ghanim Al Ghaith.
The negotiating partners confirmed that the agreement on avoiding double taxation, signed in April, had provided opportunities for closer economic cooperation and investment agreements.
In order to invigorate economic relations between the two countries, a Hungarian trade house will open this year in Abu Dhabi, in addition to which intense negotiations have been launched for establishing a direct flight connection between the two countries. The partners also negotiated about cooperation within the fields of tourism and energy-related education.
