State Secretary Szijjártó told Issa H. Murad, the President of the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA) and other members of the delegation that developing economic cooperation with the Arab world was a key objective of Hungary’s economic opening to the East.
The sides concluded that Hungarian companies have market opportunities in the development of Jordan's public transport system and farming technology. They agreed to hold a Hungarian-Jordanian business forum in Amman during the official visit of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in January next year, and that the two countries would boost relations in tourism as well.
The Jordanian side requested Hungary's help in accelerating the process of concluding the country's trade agreements with the EU.
