The Prime Minister held a speech at the cabinet meeting in Fertőd, declaring that those countries that do not insist on their cultural roots and turn away from their past also turn away from their future.
In contrast, those countries that successfully live in unity with the legacy of their ancestors may become strong and successful, the Prime Minister said, adding that culture without supporters is like professional sports without sponsors.
Regarding the venue of the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister pointed out that the choice of meeting place is obvious because it is a salute of a plebeian government to the great achievements of the Hungarian aristocracy.
According to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, thanks to continuous restoration activities, Hungary’s largest baroque castle will soon welcome its visitors in its former magnificence worthy of the title of UNESCO world heritage site, adding that the Government is doing everything possible to ensure that the Castle of Fertőd returns to its former glory as a stronghold of European culture.
