Prime Minister Viktor Orbán declared at the ceremony marking the completion of the first stage of renovation work on the Romanesque church in Ják, that Europe and Hungary may also be renewed if they manage to focus on the traditions of praying and working, and announced that the Government is providing further financial assistance to renovate the building.

Ják Church was built in the 13th century and is one of the most important Romanesque monument in Hungary.

According to the Prime Minister, the country must follow its own path and it is important to tackle difficulties and represent Hungarian interests without fear.

Viktor Orbán stated that it is the Hungarian people who maintain the Government and that work has not yet been concluded, while he asked for the support of those present.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the renewal of Ják Church has a great religious, moral and also economic significance, because the church is one of the country's most important tourism destinations.
