Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will present his new government on June 6, János Lázár, Minister of State heading the Prime Minister's Office, announced in Parliament on Tuesday.

Speaking in a debate on the future structure of Hungary's ministries, he stated that the new governmental structure would be "clear, simple and straightforward".

According to a proposal submitted to Parliament on Saturday by Prime Minister Orbán and Deputy Prime Minister Semjén, the new government will work with nine ministries.

The new ministries would be the following: Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Human Resources, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of External Economy and Foreign Affairs, Ministry of National Development and Ministry of National Economy.

Minister of State Lázár highlighted that the Prime Minister's Office will be turned into a ministry to be in charge of governmental coordination, as well as of the distribution of European Union funds to Hungary.

Contributing to the debate, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjártó said that Hungary's foreign policy should be focused on the foreign economy, to ensure that the country benefits from changes in the global economy and global politics.

In the new governmental structure, an integrated foreign economy and policy ministry will be set up to "successfully represent Hungarian interests in a new world order", he added.

Mr Szijjártó said the new structure would facilitate that by 2018, one third of Hungary's total exports will be sold outside the European Union, as well as increasing Hungary's agricultural and food exports by an annual 10 percent.
