Current conflicts and major changes in the world were among the topics at the meeting between Prime Minister Orbán and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister, who received the Secretary-General in the Parliament Building, stated that Central Europe will be the continent’s engine of growth, thus the region could contribute to the world economy’s recovery from the crisis. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon informed the Hungarian Prime Minister about the conflict in Syria, who in return offered Hungarian humanitarian and chemical engineering assistance for the UN.
The United Nations’ Secretary-General visited Budapest on the occasion of the UN Water Summit.
