Hungarians are in safety both in Hungary and in Transcarpathia in western Ukraine, the Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Monday.
Hungarians are in safety both in Hungary and in Transcarpathia, and the Hungarian Government is doing its utmost to ensure that they remain safe, Prime Minister Orbán said on Monday.
Hungary is not part of the conflict that has developed in Ukraine, he stressed, also noting that Minister of Foreign Affairs János Martonyi is holding related talks in Brussels and adding that Hungary is engaged in joint efforts with other European countries to make sure that peace, security and adherence to international law are maintained within the framework of a common European-level management of the crisis in Ukraine.
Hungarians beyond the border can count on the Government, he confirmed.
