All minorities can count on Hungary at any time, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said following a meeting with Romani Rose, President of the Central Council of German Sinti and Roma, in Budapest on Saturday.
At the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Human Resources Zoltán Balog as well, the participants exchanged views on impoverishment in Europe, a trend hitting especially the Roma minority and strengthening prejudice towards minority groups.
In a situation like this, the Roma and all the other minorities should look for supporters, Prime Minister Orbán said, adding that they can always count on Hungary.
The Prime Minister and Romani Rose called job creation and inclusive education the best tools to improve the situation of the Roma.
