State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó was visiting Washington today, where he met senior managers from GE, Delphi, Citigroup and Oracle companies.
These groups are also present in Hungary and seek to further extend their activities. Szijjártó put forward that the action plan aims at creating Europe’s most competitive investment environment in Hungary. Representatives of the US companies showed particular interest in the Hungarian tax-system and in red tape reduction measures.
During his three-day visit in Washington the State Secretary will meet Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Marie Yovanovitch and Thomas O. Melia, Senior Advisor to Hillary Clinton Tomicah Tillemann as well as leaders of international Jewish organizations and the heads of the most significant scientific institutions.
