At an event held by the Swiss-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and other chambers, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó declared that the Government’s goal is to make Hungary the production centre of Europe, for which it is creating a favourable investment environment through its measures.
The State Secretary emphasized that in 2013 there will be economic growth stemming from consumption growth, facilitation of the foreign market activities of Hungarian enterprises, as well as through the system of strategic partnerships.
Péter Szijjártó stated that the change in the Government's tax philosophy was correct, establishing a simple, transparent and proportional tax system that has created many positive elements for the production centre. He added that the Government is committed to a reduction in bureaucracy and administrative burdens.
Péter Szijjártó pointed out that Hungarian macroeconomic data is good compared to European data, and the state debt is being further reduced this year while the deficit is being kept under 3 %.
