The 20th Fishing Hunting and Arms International Exhibition was opened today by Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Hungarian Society for the Protection of Hunting Zsolt Semjén. The event was attended by Minister of Rural Development Sándor Fazekas, Ukranian Minister of Agriculture Mykola Prysyazhnyuk and a number of members of the diplomatic corps.
A significant moment of the event involved Eszter Csonka-Takács, Head of the UNESCO National Commission's Sub-Committee on Intellectual and Cultural Heritage, awarding UNESCO’s certificate to the President of the Hungarian Falconers Club, verifying that Hungarian falconry has been included in UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage list. Furthermore, the Hungaricum Committee also added Hungarian falconry to its Hungaricum list in January 2013.
