Strengthening Hungary’s investment position in the Western Balkans is one of the pillars of the Government's policy of opening towards the East, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó stressed following talks with Albanian Minister of Trade and Energy Florjon Mima in Budapest.
The two politicians met within the framework of the Hungarian-Albanian Joint Economic Committee.Albania would welcome Hungarian enterprises participating in energy investments and privatisation proceedings, as well as an increase in Hungarian agricultural exports, in addition to which there are opportunities for Hungarian construction firms in projects aiming at improving Albanian infrastructure, Minister Mima said.
State Secretary Szijjártó added that Hungary is committed to supporting Albania’s European integration by sharing best practices and strengthening cooperation in public administration.
