The government has submitted to the European Union the country's partnership agreement for the 2014-2020 budgetary period which enables opening up 10,500 billion forints in funding to Hungary, Deputy State Secretary for Development Policy Nándor Csepreghy said on Monday.

He told a meeting of the Western Transdanubian association of chambers of commerce and industry that the agreement had been submitted over the weekend, prior to the deadline.

The government plans to submit the operative programmes to the European Commission by the end of March. The first tenders for the current 7-year budget period are expected to be invited in the middle of the year and all operative programme tenders are planned to be invited by October the latest, Mr Csepreghy said.
