The embassy, reopened on Tuesday will make it easier for west African students to get a visa for study in Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, State Secretary of foreign affairs and external trade stated.

Further, it will help Nigerian businesspeople with a keen interest in Hungarian products and services to visit Hungary, he added.

The diplomatic mission in Abuja will help Hungary enforce its interests in western Africa as a whole, he said. Hungary has a vested interest in developing close ties with the most rapidly developing regions of the world, including Africa, the state secretary said, calling Nigeria a front-runner in the trend.
