In order to boost economic relations, an agreement was signed between Hungary and the United Arab Emirates by State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó in Dubai amongst others on avoiding double taxation and the establishment of a trade house in Abu-Dhabi.

The agreement on avoiding double taxation is the first interstate agreement between the two countries the State Secretary pointed out, adding that it is an important step for Emirati investors, creating a predictable and stable business environment.

According to the State Secretary talks on an economic cooperation agreement will commence and a joint economic committee will be established.
