The agreement concluded with HP is the 30th of its kind. As a result of these agreements, multinationals have announced plans to create 3,500 new jobs. Gábor Gonda stressed that HP has been present in Hungary for 23 years and has long-term plans which necessitate close cooperation. He added that Hungary’s IT expertise makes the country and companies operating here competitive, and accordingly he regards continued cooperation with Hungarian higher education institutions as important. HP Hungary currently employs 2,300 people, including 1,500 at the parent company's Shared Service Centre in Budapest. This number will increase further following the agreement announced today.
