The World Jewish Congress is to hold its 14th Plenary Assembly between 5-7 May, 2013. The conference will discuss global issues concerning Jewish communities.
Minister of State heading the Prime Minister’s Office János Lázár said that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán would address the opening ceremony and respond determinedly to charges of anti-Semitism made against Hungary, the Hungarian people and the Government “in which all of us is stigmatized as anti-Semitic”.
Janos Lazar declared that the Government will do everything in its power so that the human dignity of the participants and Hungarian Jewish communities cannot be harmed.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has instructed the Minister of Interior Affairs Sándor Pintér to ban every event and demonstration that could harm the dignity of the participants and Hungarian Jewish communities.
