Joseph Daul, President of the European People's Party (EPP), has assured Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of the party group's support at the upcoming Hungarian elections.
During a meeting in Budapest on Monday, Mr Daul talked about the upcoming general elections in Hungary with Prime Minister Orbán, as well as about the European parliamentary election to be held in May 2014.
Both parties agreed that it was important for the EPP that Hungary's centre-right Fidesz party does well in the elections so that Hungary's renewal could become an example for the whole continent.
