Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén will be on an official visit to Israel and Bethlehem, in Palestinian Authority territory, between January 30 and February 2.

During his official visit, he will meet with Chief Rabbi of Israel Yona Metzger, visit the Yad Vashem Museum and lay a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. In Jerusalem, he will meet with Palestinian Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church Fouad Twai and Patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem Theophilos III.

The fact that the Deputy Prime Minister was received by Armenian Apostolic Patriarch of Jerusalem Nurhan Manougian just days after his election is a notable gesture. In Bethlehem, Deputy Prime Minister Semjén will meet with local and national Palestinian leaders and will be presenting state awards to individuals who have achieved outstanding merits in the field of bilateral relations.
