In order to develop bilateral ties, a 6+5 point action plan has been developed by the Hungarian-Jordanian Joint Economic Committee.

The first session of the Committee was held in Budapest, within the framework of which State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó received Jordanian Secretary General of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Saleh Al Kharabsheh in Parliament on Monday.

The action plan will be submitted at the Joint Economic Committee’s plenary session on Monday.

The action points deal with Hungary’s participation in major Jordanian infrastructural investments and nuclear development projects, expanding Hungarian agricultural exports as well as cooperation in water management.
Jordan is Hungary’s sixth largest trading partner in the Middle East region, but bilateral trade hardly exceeds USD 35 million.
