Production has started at the Lábatlan Plant of Forest-Papír Factory

In an investment supported from the New Széchenyi Plan, Forest-Papír Ltd. has set up a household hygienic paper processing plant in Lábatlan, from a budget of HUF 2.5 billion. The establishment was inaugurated by Minister of State for Infrastructure Pál Völner on 13 December 2013.

More debt assumption for Győr worth HUF 4.4bn

After last year’s consolidation of HUF 3.4bn, the Government is to settle the remaining debts of the county seat as well, Minister of National Development Zsuzsa Németh announced in Győr on 13 December, 2013. By the end of February, the city is thus to be relieved of a debt burden of HUF 7.8bn altogether.

New railway schedule brings about favourable changes for hundreds of thousands

The new railway schedule is to take effect from 15 December, 2013, offering the most significant increase in service supply in recent years. It is the completion of the railway modernisation between Budapest and Székesfehérvár that brings about developments affecting the highest number of passengers. Thanks to the second track inaugurated between Kelenföld and Tárnok this summer, the capacity of the Székesfehérvár line has increased and trains may travel at a speed of up to 120 km/h. With the professional support of the Ministry of National Development, MÁV-START Ltd. has worked out a new schedule structure for several Transdanubian railway lines. International rail transport is also to be expanded by new trains and destinations added.

Applications for funding towards purchasing the equipment required by animal husbandry units, and food industry machinery and technology may be submitted from 8am on Monday 16 December until no later than 31 January 2013, or until the budget is depleted. The Ministry of Rural Development is providing a budget of 60 billion forints for this purpose.

Increased funding for Hungarian cross-border theatres next year

This year's 40 million Hungarian forint production budget for the funding of theatres outside Hungary will be raised to HUF 50 million next year, in addition to which a new HUF 32 million tender is expected to be launched by the Ministry of Human Resources (EMMI) - Minister of State for Culture János Halász announced at the Cross-Border Theatres Forum held at the National Theatre on 11 December 2013.

Hungary wins court battle against European Commission

HUF 1.7bn for the School Milk Programme

The Ministry of Rural Development will be providing funding of HUF 1.7 billion (some 5.6 million euros) for the Kindergarten and School Milk Programme in 2014, 200 million more than this year. Tasks related to the Programme will be performed by the Klebelsberg Institution Maintenance Centre (KIK), according to the decree issued by the Minister of Rural Development today.
