Foreign trade surplus near a two-and-a-half year high again

The volume growth of Hungary’s foreign trade has remained on an upward path: in November 2013, exports and imports were up by 6.3 percent and 2.9 percent, respectively, year-on-year. Thanks to the revival of trade activity, foreign trade surplus increased to EUR 825 million, slightly below the two-and-a-half year record of EUR 830 million registered in September 2013.

Team of Sopron champions at the finals of ‘Competing through Rights’ quiz series

The team of Sopron assembled from students of Daniel Berzsenyi Lutheran High School and Vocational School won the national finals of the quiz series called ‘Competing through Rights’, which was held in Budapest last Friday. Initiative of Deputy Prime Minister Tibor Navracsics, Minister of Public Administration and Justice, the competition was launched in October 2013 on the occasion of the European Year of Citizens with more than 90 participating teams, out of which 9 ended up in the finals.
