The number of people in employment aged 15-74 years hit a historic high of 3 million 981 thousand. This figure is 1.7 percent higher than that of the same period of 2012, while the employment rate improved to 52.2 percent among those aged 15-74 years.

Delphi Automotive expands its plant in Tatabánya

On Wednesday, automotive components manufacturer Delphi inaugurated its 8000 square meter new production hall, which will double the company’s Tatabánya unit’s production and will create a hundred new jobs. Hungary’s foreign trade posts significant surplus again

In July 2013, the volume of exports and imports increased by 7.4 percent and 6.4 percent, respectively, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, thus foreign trade posted a surplus of EUR 448 million in the seventh month of the year. As a result of the Government’s investor-friendly economic policy, recently implemented large investment projects are expected to generate a foreign trade surplus for the entire year of 2013 which will exceed last year’s figure.
