As part of the Erzsébet Programme, more than fourteen thousand children have been able to spend part of their summer holiday at a preferential price in so-called ‘Erzsébet camps’; these are being set up throughout Hungary, including at Lake Balaton.
On 4-5 October 2012 the Hungarian capital will host the first follow-up conference to the 2011 London Conference on Cyberspace. The event, taking place in the heart of Budapest, will gather together nearly 600 representatives from government, the private sector, civil society and the scientific community, as well as around 100 international journalists.

In response to a statement on Monday by Slovakian Minister of Justice Tomas Borec, the Hungarian Ministry of Public Administration and Justice has stated that a framework decision on European arrest warrants exists between Hungary and Slovakia, and that this could be enacted if a Slovak court requests extradition from Hungary of the war crimes suspect László Csatáry. In Hungary also, it is the exclusive right of the judiciary (and not ministries) to decide on the implementation of a European arrest warrant.
