The Békés County Minorities' Day is organised at the end of every year by the County Council of Békés. Individual contributions to bettering the life of minorities living in the county are recognised at the event. This year, the awards were presented by Deputy State Secretary responsible for National Minority and Civil Society Affairs Csaba Latorcai, on 6th December in Csabacsűd.

International Volunteer Day was established by the United Nations’ General Assembly through Resolution of 17 December 1985.
