In an investment supported from the New Széchenyi Plan, Forest-Papír Ltd. has set up a household hygienic paper processing plant in Lábatlan, from a budget of HUF 2.5 billion. The establishment was inaugurated by Minister of State for Infrastructure Pál Völner on 13 December 2013.
After last year’s consolidation of HUF 3.4bn, the Government is to settle the remaining debts of the county seat as well, Minister of National Development Zsuzsa Németh announced in Győr on 13 December, 2013. By the end of February, the city is thus to be relieved of a debt burden of HUF 7.8bn altogether.
The new railway schedule is to take effect from 15 December, 2013, offering the most significant increase in service supply in recent years. It is the completion of the railway modernisation between Budapest and Székesfehérvár that brings about developments affecting the highest number of passengers. Thanks to the second track inaugurated between Kelenföld and Tárnok this summer, the capacity of the Székesfehérvár line has increased and trains may travel at a speed of up to 120 km/h. The Ministry of Rural Development will be providing funding of HUF 1.7 billion (some 5.6 million euros) for the Kindergarten and School Milk Programme in 2014, 200 million more than this year.
