Minister of Foreign Affairs János Martonyi awarded Ambassador of Croatia Ivan Bandić with the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary on September 10.

Ambassador Bandić has been serving as Chief of Mission in Hungary in the past decade: between 2002 and 2006 he was Consul General of Croatia in Pécs, after that he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia. Ambassador Bandić played an important role in strengthening ties between the two neighboring nations.
