The Geographical Names Committee has decided to change the name of Lágymányosi Bridge to Rákóczi Bridge. The new name was proposed by Minister of National Development Tamás Fellegi in governmental support of the initiative put forward by the Budapest City Council.

The Geographical Names Committee voted unanimously to approve the name change, before informing Minister for Rural Development Sándor Fazekas, Minister of National Development Tamás Fellegi and Mayor of Budapest IstvánTarlós. The Rákóczi family was one of the leading noble houses of Hungary, dating back to the 13th century.
